Comcast has purchased online movie information and ticketing site Fandango. They also have plans to launch Fancast.com that is designed to help users manage their entertainment experience.
"Adding Fandango to Comcast Interactive Media and creating Fancast.com will enable us to leverage our combined assets to offer consumers an outstanding entertainment experience."
Fandango will continue to be run by CEO Chuck Davis who will work with CIM to expand the site across platforms and brands. Their headquarters will remain in Los Angles and the deal will close in the second quarter.
