Did MSN Virtual Earth Lose Apple's HQ?

This weekend, Microsoft unveiled their online mapping service, Virtual Earth. This particular map service gives users a number of options when it comes to online map usability. However, it seems the developers of MSN's latest project may have erred and not necessarily on the side of caution. According to the building is nowhere to be found. Could this be a case of over-competiveness rearing its head? Or is MSN merely using dated images for the aerial photo portion of Virtual Earth? I tend to go with the latter, but when you consider the Microsoft (in favor of the term "blogcasting"), it tends to get the consipiracy juices flowing. However, another piece of The Register's article almost clearly shows Virtual Earth is using a dated image index when providing aerial photos, apparently the World Trade Center is still present on Virtual Earth's representation of Manhattan.
