Miss America is taking steps to keep kids safe on the Internet with a new web browser designed especially for kids. Miss America, Lauren Nelson, spoke exclusively in a video interview with Murdok about the launch. The browser is a partnership with the Children's Educational Network.

Exclusive: Miss America Talks Net Safetyexplained to Murdok why this kid-safe browser was a project so important to her.

"As a 13 year old girl I was approached by an online preditor while chatting in a chat room. He asked the question ASL, which means age, sex location. I gave him the information not knowing any better and about a week later he sent inappropriate pictures of himself to me and my friends. That's when we alerted our parents. That situation really sparked my interest in Internet safety."

Greg Writer, CEO of told Murdok:

"We wanted to create something that kids want to use and that kids thought was cool and would tell other kids about it. We designed this browser to interact with different brands like Shrek and Miss America."
