Think your friends don't know enough about you already? Facebook's got a fix; the social network now allows users to import stories from other sites.
Flickr, Yelp, Picasa, and del.icio.us are the first four. Options involving Digg are on the way, as well, according to a post on the Facebook Blog, and other sites should be included, too. To its credit, Facebook seems to be focusing on things that have achieved a certain level of popularity, rather than those that come from any particular partners.
Of course, as with pretty much every change to Facebook, there are privacy issues to consider, but there's nothing here that should spawn anything like the Beacon fiasco. Import your own stories or don't, and deal with the consequences from there.
The only real problem was of a somewhat technical nature; following the introduction of this feature, Facebook's site slowed down for some users, and News Feeds stopped working entirely for others. Everything's running again now, though.
