Remember how rumormongers claimed the Googlephone would take over the mobile market? Then, of course, came the official announcement(s) that the Googlephone didn't exist. But never mind that detail - the company's group manager for mobile platforms still thinks Android will kick ass.
Miner later continued, according to Richard Martin, "There are things I saw people doing with the first version of the Android SDK that it seems like you can't do with the iPhone at least at the moment."
Comparing a platform for which there aren't yet any devices to a bestselling mainstay of geek culture seems odd, and we have to wonder how many cups of coffee Martin drank before he spoke. Also, there's a question of whether he'd forgotten about Google's friendly relationship with Apple.
Still, Miner at least managed to grab some headlines. We're even inclined to think a lot of Apple fans will now try Android, if only to say how much it sucks.
