Google News (amazingly still called a beta!) has added a very powerful customization feature today.
Others have covered the addition, but I'm going to tell you how to really take advantage of it.

It seems as if that's all the "Advanced" options you're going to get, right? After all, you did click on "Advanced." But not so. Not by a long shot. The keywords field will accept all the advanced operators available in the Advanced News Search, fill out the form and test the results until you get it just the way you want. Here's an example: Let's say you want articles with "Social Security" and "tax"in the article title (only, not the body); plus you don't want to hear from Al Gore. Here is how you'd fill out the page:
Sharing Your News Page with Others
If you look down at the bottom of the news page you will see the link "Share your customized news with a friend." Clicking on this link will provide you with a unique URL that you can copy and email to anyone else so that they can see the same news setup you do!
