Google News: There Is No News

At murdok, we try to write about important and interesting things, but groundbreaking developments simply don't occur every day. There are times, even, when it seems like there's nothing to report. Google News is apparently experiencing a similar problem - earlier today, the site was entirely devoid of stories. Okay, so it's likely that the problem was the result of some glitch, and not of an extreme disinterest in the world's events, but that's sure what it looked like. murdok contributor Philipp Lenssen captured a noted the problem, and observed that the site was only acting up intermittently. "It was returning 500 errors, graphics weren't loading, searches weren't working and so on," he wrote. "I waited a bit and it came back, but then it had more issues." Hmmm . . . .
