The United States and India signed an aviation agreement in which both countries can operate as many flights between each other as they like. A fifty-year-old treaty limited the amount of flights between the two countries until the new agreement was signed by India's Aviation Minister Praful Patel and The U.S. Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta.
