Citigroup recently agreed to pay $2 billion to settle a lawsuit from Enron investors, and now J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. is following suit and paying $2.2 billion. Morgan like Citigroup and several other banks, was accused of having a role in a huge accounting fraud scandal at Enron. Morgan is taking a $2 billion pre-tax charge, which will put a big hurt on its second quarter earnings, which are now expected to fall by 35 cents a share.
