We often get so caught up in what Google is doing with Google Maps that we sometimes forget there are other map services out there like 
Chris Pendleton Virtual Earth Web Service and here. Application developers and webmasters can also use the new virtual earth offerings
Will any of this sway users away from Google Maps? Frankly, I have no plans on changing which service I use, but developers appear to be the ones who will have the most fun with Microsoft's new features.
