Morgan Stanley CEO Philip Purcell sent a letter sent around to employees of the company announcing his plans to retire. Lately he has faced a lot of criticism. Purcell will step down when a suitable replacement is found, but no later than March of next year. CNBC reported that Morgan Stanley's board intended to fire him.
