On Thursday, November 11, Microsoft is preparing to launch their search presence to the public again. A version of their search engine has been available on sandbox site for some time now. This "release" is expected to be a media blitz that will announce MSN Search to the general public. Evidently, this version will feature search results powered by their own algorithm, instead of utilizing Overture/Yahoo's index, according to multiple sources. According to The New York Times, it is believed that "Microsoft will stress the size and completeness of its service, according to several people with knowledge of the announcement." As indicated earlier, a working version of MSN's search technology has been already been made available.
