Nokia and Intel announced that they are working together to speed up the development, and deployment of WIMAX technology to bring new capabilities to mobile users over high-speed broadband networks. WiMAX stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, and it is defined as a standards-based wireless technology that provides high-throughput broadband connections over long distances.
