Though much of the US Olympic performance left sports fans disappointed, the Olympic website has enjoyed a gold medal showing with the use of Flash throughout it. Who went downhill faster than Bode Miller at Torino? The US men's hockey team, a jokester said to me recently. Ouch. Although there frequently was not much to enjoy despite the television coverage, visitors to the official presented overviews of competitions like the biathlon. The animation describes the event, and renders information about how the competitors participate, from the type of strides they take while skiing to the speed with which they shoot at targets. Summer sports receive similar kid-oriented "Base Camp" site. Lots of bright colors and anthropomorphic creatures welcome younger visitors. Unfortunately, many visitors will find the selection of Sissy Skunk as one of those creatures an all-too apt reminder of the squad's less-than-stellar performance at the Winter Olympics. We won't comment on Slug, period. They look good in Flash, though. Tag: | document.write("Email Murdok here.") Drag this to your Bookmarks. Add to document.write("Del.icio.us") | Yahoo!
