Search Site Includes Nearly 600,000 PDFs

GoHook has developed a database of nearly 600,000 PDF documents targeted at the legal, educational, librarian and government audiences. Using a familiar Web search engine interface, end users search for documents in PDF (Portable Document Format), HTML or ubiquitous ASCII text. "We give the user four options," says Robert Keller, a Partner at GoHook. "Other sites may link to PDF documents, but we assure the availability and ease of search. We go beyond other search engines." In addition to the link, GoHook stores the converted HTML, ASCII text and PDF files, so the user can always retrieve their information. "Because all the links work, the user's linked to all documents, even if the original site is down or defunct."
