Social networking site Gather.com has partnered with three publishers and a record label to provide exclusive content for the site. The partners are Harvard Health Publications, Publishers Weekly, McGraw-Hill Professional and Columbia Records. Publishers Weekly for the Books channel, McGraw-Hill Professional will provide content for the site's Money channel. "The goal of all of our publications is to bring the public, from anywhere and at any time, the most current practical, authoritative health information available, drawing on the expertise of the 9,000 faculty physicians at the Harvard Medical School and its world-famous affiliated hospitals," said Anthony Komaroff, M.D., Editor in Chief and Publisher at Harvard Health Publications. "Gather.com gives us a dynamic environment to bring this information to life and to create an ongoing dialogue with the public." For the books channel Publishers Weekly will give a behind the scenes look into the world of publishing while receiving feedback from readers.
