Sports search engine Enth has partnered with sports information provider Stats to add data to their search engine.
The deal will provide Enth with real-time data during the Major League Baseball and National Football League seasons.
The site is in Beta and on their welcome page it says," Traditional search engines crawl and index words from web pages scattered throughout the Internet.
The site says it is different because it does not direct searchers to Web pages "that may or may not answer the question." "By partnering with STATS, we combine the premier source of sports data with our state-of-the-art technology to create a unique, extremely user-friendly search engine that will change the way in which we search for sports statistics," said Enth founder John Grace. "As we grow and evolve, we envision Enth's technology revolutionizing the manner in which information is found via the Internet." While the site is in beta, they could really use some expansion if they want to be a true sports search engine not just limited to NFL and MLB. The results they do have are thorough. Enth says they will create new content to respond to a search request.
They have a section for NCAA sports but the results were only football focused.
Just by adding college basketball stats they would be doing themselves a huge favor, especially this time of year.
The look of the site is generic and plain but again they are in beta so I would imagine they would be making improvements.
