Despite the emerging prominence of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the business ecosystem, startups have yet to invest in these technologies significantly. The use of AI, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, remains experimental mainly in the startup realm.
AngelList, also highlights a shift in the geographical landscape of startups. Their Q3 report released last week reveals an increase in the number of countries where startups are operating. This is attributed to a more geographically diverse workforce, further fueled by remote work trends.
Furthermore, there's been a shift in startup hubs away from traditional locations like Silicon Valley and New York. Cities like Austin and Miami are gaining traction as new startup hotspots. This geographical shift is not just about companies moving their headquarters; it's also a result of an increasingly dispersed workforce.
