Yahoo picks up adventure author and filmmaker Richard Bangs to create content based on exotic adventure expeditions around the world.
Scott Moore, Yahoo's vice president of content, said in the report.
Yahoo's first attempt at original content, Kevin Sites in the Hot Zone, began in September. Hot Zone follows Sites' solo travels to global places of armed conflict over the course of a year.
The content creation comes at a time of intense competition for Internet viewers. Yahoo is the most visited site among the four major players, including MSN, Google, and AOL. All have been working to better capture eyeballs, and more importantly ad exposures and clicks, to grab a bigger share of search advertising revenue.
