Original Article: It has been a long journey for YouTube for its transition from the current design for channels, to the new design, which has only been available in testing form. They were originally planning on rolling out the new design in mid-July, but there was just too much work to be done, and it was postponed indefinitely.
Now YouTube has - Allowing you to re-order your uploads and playlists
- Adding transparency
- Implementing fixes for a lot of other bugs you helped find, such as grid view not always working correctly
YouTube has also added the ability to right-click and open videos in a ne tab or window, as well a full screen capability, and the ability for transparency settings to go to 100%.
While YouTube is apparently, finally confident enough to get set to release the new channels, they are still open to more feedback, and maintain that they will continue working on additional features. To get a look at some of the other changes they've made, read this bigger list.
YouTube notes that not all channels will switch over instantly. It will take a week or two for the redesign to be rolled out to everyone.
