After his stint in the KHL, Vávra returned to the Czech Extraliga, signing with HC Vítkovice Steel in 2017. Over four seasons, he played a pivotal role in the team’s offensive lineup, amassing 68 goals and 102 assists across 190 games. In 2021, he joined HC Sparta Praha, continuing to provide veteran leadership and offensive support. As of the 2023–24 season, Vávra remains an active player for HC Sparta Praha, participating in both domestic and European competitions.
